With today’s rules updates, it seems an apt time to drop a note about a few cards we revealed last week which had issues with their images.
What happened? In the first week of Vendetta previews, we revealed an incomplete image for the Renekton, Butcher of Sands Overnumber card, then a few days later we found issues which affect the cards for Gangplank, Naval and Illaoi, Prophet of the Kraken Rival.
Thankfully, in the case of Renekton, Butcher of Sands, we quickly confirmed that the shared image was an out-of-date digital asset we missed while distributing the preview images and is not an issue that made it to print.
Last Thursday, we got messages regarding a few issues with Gangplank, Naval’s two versions and with the Rival Overnumber Illaoi, Prophet of the Kraken:
First, an issue which affects both the normal and Overnumber versions of Gangplank, Naval. He will receive errata to his Empowered ability which appends “this turn” to it. Secondly, the Overnumber Gangplank is missing his Pirate tag:
Overnumber Illaoi, Prophet of the Kraken is missing the rules text “from Bilgewater” for the token it creates:
After investigating with our partners at UVS Games, it has been confirmed that the issues for both versions of Gangplank, Naval and the Rival Overnumber version of Illaoi, Prophet of the Kraken made it to print and will appear on English Riftbound cards. As always, the correct rules text supersedes the printed rules text for cards in Riftbound.
We did a full audit of Vendetta’s card images against the printed cards and have found no other graphical issues in this set. We will communicate any additional errata which we determine is needed closer to the set’s release.
